Duncan, located in the Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island is called “The City of Totems” – The distinctive hand-carved cedar totem poles from local native artisans are on public display on downtown Duncan streets and in the local parks. There are somewhere in the neighborhood of 80 poles in the area, well worth the effort to view.
