Aix-en-Provence
Aix or Aix-en-Provence, to distinguish it from other cities built over hot springs, is located in southern France some 30 km north of Marseille in the Provence region. The population of Aix is approximately 140,200. Its inhabitants are called Aixois.
The old area of town is lively with university students everywhere. Very photogenic.
