Boys Will Be Boys – My 2nd Annual 50th Birthday Party

Last Years Cake

Last Years Cake

Once a year I have a birthday party (I konw this is nothing special as most of us have a yearly birthday), not just a normal party but something a little crazier than one would expect from a bunch of grown up adults.

In past years we have always used motorized cars, helicopters and other toys to destroy the birthday cake and do significant cleaning damage to the floors. This year out of respect for my wifes wishes we took the party outside and played with rockets instead. What a hoot. While we played with rockets last year we had not perfected night launches and in the process managed to lose 2 rockets and our dogs blinking LED light. A year later and we have the technology down to an art. Fancy new LED’s in the nose cones and good weather made for some excellent launces. We still managed to hang 2 rockets out of reach in big trees however.

An assortment of rockets ready for action, the beer bottle didnt fly very well!
