Fir Trees in Mist

I came home tonight to a very strange purple glow in the sky, the result of what was likely a very pretty sunset filtering through low fog that’s been building up as the snow melts. A quick shot here, I only had a few minutes to grab my camera and shoot. Serves me right for not carrying the camera with me today during my travels.

Beautiful – the only time I’ve seen a purple mist like this before was one year in Maine when there were forest fires in Canada.

It was a very eerie glow. I only wish I had more time to experience it as these colours don’t happen very often.
