Forest Light

Here we are, one month finished in the photograph a day series. So far it has been an interesting exercise. Right now I’m in the middle of a major boat renovation so photography has taken a second stage for all of January. At the same time, I have been driving between my house and the marina almost every day through some of the Cowichan Valley’s most photogenic areas, camera ready in the truck. What this exercise has done for me if anything is forced me to look at the world as I drive by and occasionally stop to shoot what might be just a snapshot.

I admitted from day one that I would be cheating a little and not necessarily shooting a new photo every day but if my numbers are correct I shot 26 of the 31 on the day I published them. I hope that’s OK!

So here we are for the last day of January, beautiful sun filtering through the trees in my front yard. I’m sure enjoying the lack of rain we presently have.
