Mount Prevost

I’ve been looking at Mount Prevost from my Duncan house for the past 2 years. I’ve watched paragliders jump from the flanks, storm clouds rolling in and lovely sunset and sunrise light bringing Mount Prevost to life or closing the mountain down for the night. Until this past weekend I never had ventured to where these photographic dreams were coming from.

Twice in one week I’ve managed to hit the road and head to the summit. Don’t be impressed, you can drive to within 10 minutes of the spectacular view.

If you are silly enough to get up around 5:45 AM and hit the road this is what you might experience. I’ve always thought that most people are eating breakfast or even worse sleeping when the world is at it’s most interesting and this is a good example.

I grew up looking at Mt Prevost everyday and thinking very little of it. Now that I’ve moved away from BC, your images made me homesick ans tugged at my heart! Thanks for pics, Carolyn
