Organ Pipe National Monument, Arizona

I’ve been particularly looking forward to heading back to Organ Pipe National Monument again as it must be 30 years since I last visited. Not much has changed which is very good. Unfortunately the best road in the park is now closed due to “border issues” but the Mount Ajo loop is still open and provides an amazing glimpse into the life of the Sonoran desert. If you have always thought deserts were boring think again. This place is rich in both plant and animal life and most importantly from a photographer’s standpoint, absolutely stunning.

We are here for about three days so you may get a little tired of saguaro cactus and other gorgeous desert stuff but I’ll try to mix it up a little.
