Japanese Maple Seeds

Snow seems to be the theme so far this year, in fact after a reasonably pleasant morning it has started to snow heavily again this afternoon. The forecast shows warmer weather coming in so at least we’ll be back to our dreary rain within a few days. For photography I do prefer the snow, I just have a little issue with the cold that comes with it. Perhaps someone can come up with snow that doesn’t melt until 10c.

Today’s photo is of a delicate Japanese maple in my front yard. This tree looks great year round with beautiful gold foliage during the summer changing to red during fall. Many of the seeds decorate the tree year round, only overshadowed by the Christmas lights that I decorate the maple with during the holidays.
