Trees in Mist

Here we go, dipping into the archives already on my photo a day project. Out of fairness to myself today was plain ugly. One of those days where the rain is coming down in buckets and the mist and clouds hang low. On top of the ugly weather I had to drive the infamous Malahat (in heavy fog) for a dentist appointment. I carried my camera but nothing happened. At one point I thought about shooting an image of foggy gloom through my Ford F150 windshield but this would only have created a bad photograph of a gloomy subject.

In keeping with the weather here is a photograph from a few winters ago in very similar but not quite as bad weather. These large oak trees are in a farm field down near Maple Bay. Very photogenic!

Wow, Kevin…this is an excellent photo. It’s not enough that it’s a great fog pic…but then you shot it on a nice frosty morning so that everything looked touched, like a frosty little world. This is among my favorites thus far.
