Macro Monday
Macro Monday seems like a really good theme for the first day of the week. Generally I’m in over my head with new photos to work on from a number of photo shoots over the weekend. It seems that I tend to be a photographer of few words and more editing action on Mondays. Perfect! A few macros from the past few days, the spring flowers are out in large quantities around Vancouver Island.
Thanks for visiting and thanks Lisa for organizing this.

Wild Strawberry, Cowichan Valley, Vancouver Island

Shooting Star, Cowichan Valley, Vancouver Island

And a non macro of the stunning meadow where I was shooting on Saturday. Cowichan Valley, Vancouver Island, British Columbia

These are absolutely beautiful macros! My favorite is the 2nd one, love the color!
Have a happy week!
beautiful shots.
Oh – I love that second shot! That is a beauty! All are – but that is special!
ahhh! Spring time at long last
Nature is so wonderful !
That shooting star is amazing! What a beautiful “field” of flowers.
Thanks for the wonderful comments. It’s great that wildflowers are popular! The Shooting Stars are at their peak right now with the Camas coming up right behind them. In many ways spring is my favourite time of year so more photographs to come during the next few weeks.
Kevin,
Wonderful macros and beautiful location. Some day, when you have time, it would be nice to hear about all of your macro techniques and equipment, but for now, I’ll just enjoy the beauty of spring time on both coasts – yours and mine.
Great photos. I love the shooting star. It’s beautiful!!
The strawberry blossom and shooting star images are spectacular and I also appreciate seeing the flowers in the meadow.
I can’t decide which one is my fav! I love them both!
I love macro photography. For now, I visit it on other sites like yours and Lisa’s, as I don’t have a macro lens.
You really do the flowers a great service by showing off their smaller parts………….:)
I enjoyed this, that second one is really stunning.
Beautiful! Love the colors on that Shooting Star!
Sounds like the shooting stars are the favourite of this batch, they are quite spectacular. I just added an article about macro equipment to my blog that might be of interest to anyone wanting to try close up work. It’s located at Macro Photography Equipment.
