My second Sky Watch Friday is this series of photographs I shot a few evenings ago in front of my house. The view is looking across Plumper Sound to Saturna Island. These two car freighters have been parked out front for a few months now. I would guess they have unloaded their Hondas or Toyotas in Vancouver and are waiting to either move on down the coast to Seattle or somewhere south or are just enjoying the fine spring weather. In reality, I expect they are waiting for goods to haul back to Japan from one of the large cities near here.
This was one of those beautiful evenings where the light changes every few minutes. These photos were shot within 35 minutes of each other. Hope you enjoy the view from western Canada!

Those are all stunning photos. Is that a rainbow I see in the first one? The disorganized sky in the second one is gorgeous!! And the blues in the last one are really beautiful. The sky can change so much in just a short period of time!!! Thanks for sharing your lovely corner of the world.

Yes, Vancouver Island and the smaller islands are beautiful. I feel very fortunate to live here and to be able to photograph this area every week. Vancouver Island should be on everyones travel destination list, it’s that spectacular!
